Looked like a nice getaway and that air barbeque really seems to do the job.

    Thanks again, Shug!

Hard to believe, but each video seems better than the last. Thanks!

    Couple of quick technical questions:

I like the camera mounted on the pulk. What tripod do you use? I've used a Gorilla Pod, and I just got a Stickpic, and I find I want to go back and forth between these two fairly often. It would be nice if the Stickpic accepted the same tiny quick-release mounting plate that the Gorilla Pod uses, but this morning I came up with another possible solution.

This is untested - it's just loosely stuck together in the photo. I'll need to epoxy a 1/4-20 nut to the underside of the Gorilla Pod to make a secure connection, and the extra couple of inches between the Stickpic and the camera probably means I'll need to be very careful to make a snug connection to the pole.
But I digress. This is just conjecture. What do you use for your tripod shots?

It looks like your pulk poles might be 6 ft. long. Have you used your pulk with cross-country skis?

The air grill really excites a fire.

    I use the Ultra-Pod
That is cool having the two cam-mounts together .... keep at it.
I have not gotten my skis out with it ....on those back-country hiking trails I feel better on snow-shoes. May do it on a flat frozen river pull.

    Good job!

That's pretty good to find where a deer bedded down so close to your hang. I call that deer noise a "chuff!" It's an alarm, and you hear it when they are challenging something. If they know you are there, but they can't pinpoint your location, they will direct a loud, barking "chuff!" right at you, as though they think they can scare you into revealing yourself.

Looked like you half expected a reply to that big, head rushin' "Whooo Buddy!"

Idea needs work. Shug's tripod is better - it has a ball and socket. Material for a different thread - later.

Another great adventure in the piney woods.
I bought one of those Air Blowers after the first time you showed it in your videos. Man, I love that thing! Thanks for sharing.
