Okay HF folks, there is a need here. Anyone got an extra hammock for a loaner/PIF that fits a 200 lb soldier???????? I'll be more than happy to throw in some funds if we need to go that way.

Wow, I love this forum! Rockdawg, you don't give up do you? :P Thank you all. I didn't expect this kind of reaction. I originaly came to the site for idea's on a D.I.Y. hammock. I never knew about UQ's, OQ's, Whoopie Slings, or anything else other than just the hammock, tarp, and bugnet. I'll definitley be sticking around here for a while. I'll also be trying to find a sewing machine soon to I bet. There are so many things I want to try now.

Let me know if you don't get a hammock. I've got ripstop. I can make you a top loader or send you the fabric to make one.

welcome to the madness from a retired jarhead. There are two type of hangers...those who have fallen from a hammock (for what ever reason) and those who will fall fall from the hammock. My wife and I did a twofer when a 4x4 post we were hanging two hammocks from broke and we both hit the ground. No one hurt and we got a good laugh out of it
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Thank you Eflat, but Texron is sending me one.

Texron, you are.... DaBomb! If I could do them, I'd be doing backflips right now. Thank you!

Gunner, I wasn't laughing at first, but when I walked in the tent dirty and pissed off the other guys thought it was funny. In turn I laughed about it too.
I think your story beats mine though. I don't think I could get my wife to get back in a hammock after a spill like that.
