Got to use mine in the field for the first time last weekend up in Newport State Park, Door Co., WI. Site 13 if anyone is familiar with the park. Absolutely love it, and the doors are awesome. I set it up with the little clips and shock cord to hold the doors open, and to clip them shut. I'll be adding the adjustable cord locks as per others' suggestions, as I had to re-tie the shock cords based on how much I snugged down the walls. Also, I set it up for using my trekking poles for the pole mod, but didn't have to use them because I had good tree availability for the side tie outs (I hadn't tied up the side tie outs yet in the first pic). Thus, I put the ridgeline under the tarp on this trip. If using pole mods, I'd put the tarp under the line. BTW, my big Hennessy deluxe XL is hiding under that tarp somewhere....

Luckily (?) I got to try it out on a rainy, windy weekend. Winds at 20 knots consistently on Friday night until Saturday morning, and gusts up to 40 knots. Lots of creaking trees all night. My set up got a little sloppy, but opening up one corner/end did the trick for me. Not as neat as I ordinarily like things, but I was dry and had some windbreak. The 12 foot length is worth it for me! IMG_1582-min.jpg
Here's the radar pic for Saturday evening that trip: IMG_1595.jpg
I am in a happy tarp zone. Now I need to figure out if I have the right hammock for me.... Happy hanging!
