I was thinking of preparing big skillet of fajitas, ckn & beef for pot luck with salsa and tortillas, if no objections.

I am also taking requests for the pot luck. So far Oldgringo has in a vote for Mac and cheese which I'd be glad to do. Any other suggestions???
And I had 2 huge slices of Cake too...

Cool! That takes care of me; but what's everyone else going to eat?

Me LOVES red beans & rice

I figured there'd probably be a lot of main dishes; so right now I'm planning to make a hearty potato, onion, and bacon side dish in my 12" dutch oven. If my 10" oven I just ordered arrives in time (doubtful at this point) I'll also make a cobler.

    Is it Friday yet?

We should be there around 5pm Friday evening... Hoping to hike that south loop Saturday (anybody else up for it?). Still pondering the pot luck offerings...

Temps look perfect for camping (you guys are going to get wet Thursday night... from the NOAA website):
Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to between 20 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday: Partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 65.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 63.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.

    Is it Friday yet?
