    My 3-season Incubator has landed!!

Now for the questions. I did not recieve any instructions with mine. I have not used or even seen an UQ in use. I was expecting (don't know why) 2 attachment points at each end. There is only one. So how is this attached to the hammock? I have a DIY Gathered End with a ridgeline. Do I just hang the hammock and then the UQ to the end and "lay" the hammock inside?

I can't believe how small and light this is and that it will keep me warm. It has lofted up nice just laying on the bed. Will have to hang it up this weekend and get the pics. It's just beautiful . Me things me maybe sleeping out this weekend!!!!

Thanks Shug. I'll have to make a trip to the library to watch. I have dial-up, no high speed here yet and watching a vid would take all night.

should have come with s-biners on each end of the shock cord loops - head and foot.

    just hang you hammock.
clip the quilts s-biner to the hammock suspension at one gathered end.
walk the incubator under the hmmk.
and clip the other biner to the opposite end hmmk suspension.

Maybe this picture of Hickery in his will help..... just run the ends of the shock-cord over the hammock whipping and slide to adjust. It is fine if the UQ is off to one side ...just push it down and place the hammock in it.

A 3 Season Incubator hanging from a hammock. The shock cord runs the length of the UQ through grossgrain channels. All you have to do is loop each end to the gathered end of the hammock or clip it via biner to the suspension. Adam adds a lot of xtra shock cord length to accommodate various lengths hammocks. So you may have to tighten it up either by A) taking some of the shock cord out by cutting a piece out B) a cinch clip C) shorting it and tie it off (hope that makes sense). Their is a head and foot end but I always forget which is witch. The wider side is the shoulder end and the skinnier side is the foot end. Their are also horizontal channels with shock cord running through it to reduce drafts blowing through vertically underneath the hammock. Hope this helps and all makes sense

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

My Incubator arrived over the weekend when I was in Portland. I've had it hanging for a day now, and just had the chance to look it over and see how "puffy" it got while hanging.
It's really nice. Thanks Stormcrow. I didn't have instructions either, but don't need them thanks to Shugs videos and checking out other's UQs during a recent gathering.
I think i'm going to grab some cinch clips for mine. Seems like a nice option.
