Joann fabrics is one of those stores that you should ONLY buy from if you are desperate or have a coupon. Well, my wife is a coupon queen so she keeps me in the loop when Joann has a 50% coupon, which is pretty often. Coupon code WHPF78 expires 3/19/2011, and entitles you to 50% off any one item, which one length of cut fabric is included in that. Their ripstop is normally $7.99, so I'd never buy, but at 3.98/yard, it's a good deal

Our Hancock ripstop is normally $5 so its $2.50 with coupon. The camo rip stop is normally $8

Yeah, the Hancock here never has any decent colors of ripstop in stock, unless you like "berry" (pink), yellow, or kelly green.

But, I was looking at Organza for bug netting:
Pink, Yellow, Purple with SPARKLES

You will find that for the price of organza or chiffon you can get no-see-um and it it much sturdier material.

If you sign up to their email list, you get 50% off coupons every week or two. They used to be 40% off, but switched to 50% in the last month or two.

Are these the usual coupons that are 50% everything, except sale items? Seems like when these coupons are in effect, they reduce their ripstop .50 or a dollar and call it a "sale".

I have had that happen on occasion, and have asked a manager to sell it at regular price and apply the coupon. Doesn't always work, but if you are a regular customer at the local fabric store you may get the hometown discount. My wife is great at haggling with store like Joann's and Michael's for the better prices.
