    No way, as others have said, the air will not insulate you at all from ambient temperatures. If you want to use an air pad, I'd only consider using an insulated pad. Still, I think you'd be better off just using a foam pad, since the air pad will take up more space and reduce the inside volume of the hammock.

    The Pacific Outdoor Ether mat is essentially a pool float.

    3" of air in tubes, nothing else.

    I one spent 5 days with it as my only insulation in the hammock and on the ground-it got down to 27 f hanging one night. Its the coldest night I've ever had in the hammock by a long, long way.

    Its also cold on the ground at 45F. If I put a single piece of windscreen reflector under it, I'm comfy and warm down to 25-30F.
