    Talking

    thanks for the welcomes.

Interestingly enough I ran across Shug's videos a bit ago, before I had even heard of this forum, and found them to be quite humorous and informative.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot, and excited for some warmer weather.

and again with the "Wow. Rarely have i ever felt at home in a forum as I do here", there doesn't seem to be a pretentiousness here that seems to boil up in other forums (non outdoors), but that just may be the topic at hand (people who like to hang around don't have time to quibble about reality TV and Starbucks), and I love that

Hey there ..... I agree about the Twin Cities! Good trials within 3 hours, terrific parks and all the other stuff you mentioned.

Welcome to HF. California's loss is sector 7's gain and you are in good company.

welcome to the forum from a fellow MN transplant. I started hammocking last year and can tell you that you won't regret the switch. You'll never sleep on the ground again.
Agreed that this is a great forum. Everybody here is really nice and always willing to offer advice.
Also, what part of MN did you move from?

Welcome aboard from the south coast. Only been in the forum for a couple of months myself. Diy'ed most of my kit, first group hang weekend before last, planning the next. Great bunch of people. Looking forward to watching another developing addict.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

I'm actually a transplant into MN. Before here I came from CA->WI->MN. It's been an interesting trip, and I really do love living here [but the drive home was really terrible tonight with the freezing downpour]

I know what you mean. Just moved here from Florida in September and this winter has been kicking my butt. We have a "fun" couple of days ahead of us too.

The winter driving does suck. Though I'm convinced if you drive in it often it makes you a better driver...
