    Washington summer hang?

When I joined, you guys had just finished the winter hang, and mentioned a summer hang. Well I'm all about it! I was wondering if it would be pertinent to start the planning process to give everyone the best chance of going. Hope its not too soon, but I can't wait!
You don't sleep on the ground at home, why would you expect me to out here?

Well as far as centrality, and ease of travel, I was thinking along Route 2. Its about 2 hours from everywhere in the NW and Ellensburg, and anyone South could get to Bellevue/Seattle area (about two hours) and possibly carpool from there.

Alpine Lakes or Wenatchee Forest sounds good in general. Somewhere around Index?
It would be a good opportunity for any Canadian neighbors as well.

The Winter hang was fun, and we discussed making it a seasonal event; which sounds awesome.
I think the "unofficial" Spring Hang is the Clean-up project being hosted by Hulk on Shi-Shi Beach on April 23rd. But, I could be wrong; everyone else can chime in on that one.

A Summer hang sounds good to me. I don't know all that many places myself, being fairly new to camping, but I'm up for anything. I think a nice mountain region during the summer would be fun. Maybe something with a small hike to get to, with options of larger hikes for those who want it. Just my thoughts, anyone know of good places like that?

Thats what you'll find along Route 2. I had you in mind when I suggested it too. For proximities sake. Google Alpine Lakes wilderness area.

I'm interested. I usually camp out in the Greenwater area, but I'm willing to make a go of it in another location.

No, it's just that summer is still a few months away and there are several other gatherings approaching before this one. The WA Coast Hang and Spring Cleanup is 2 weeks away (check the thread for info), and the Opal Creek Wilderness Hang in Oregon is on June 4,5,6.

I'm still all in for this one, it just seems like we have a few months before definite plans need to be established... I'm assuming this hang will be in July or August.
