so my first hang/trip EVER is comin' up!

Well, Refrigerator (over on TrailTalk) called me up today to confirm our trip to the North Fork Mountain Trail in West Virginia. It's next weekend and that will be the first time I have ever set up, slept in, or used my ENO Hammock and my Kelty Noah 12... It should be interesting none the less... i'm looking forward to it...

thanks so much... i'm really gonna try (weather permitting) to hang in it at least ONCE before the trip... i'm a big believer in knowing EXACTLY how your gear works before goin' into the field...

Congrats on your first hammock outing. I would suggest a little bit of practice, even if it's just a nap in your back yard, just to get use to setting up, breaking down, and getting things adjusted.

Knowing how the wind was, I am courious how things went for you... Yesterday I lost the tarp to the boat, my hat, my hair (wat is left of it anyway) and my dog for a while..

    Did you blow away?

Hope things went well and I am sure it was a great test with the "breeze" we had.

Good luck with the first hang trip.

I just read a review of the trail, sounds like you'll have some pretty views and maybe some strong winds up there too! At least you've practiced setting your tarp up in it. Have fun.
