What did you use to seal the tarps?

I think Paul used a 4:1 ratio of mineral spirits to silicone that you can get at a hardware store. You apply it with a sponge then let it dry. You do this if you are trying to make an uncoated ripstop waterproof

for my daughters tarp i even added glitter. i used a 4 to one ratio works great just remember to wear gloves or you will be peeling silicone off yourself.

That makes sense. I picked up some ripstop yesterday to reinforce some tie outs on my tarp. I probably won't need to seal those, however the process that watercrafter did had me curious. Thanks for sharing.

I used 4:1 by weight ratio in a plastic screw top container with a few clean nuts and bolts.... They act as agitators for the mix... I hung tarp up and applied with brush, if I ever do it again it will be applied with sponge and excess wiped off.... It did an effective job at WP the tarp, not sure about life of coating but as cheap as it is you could do it every year...

After ten years the tarp should weight around 20#...

Saturday is my anniversary, otherwise I'd be there, but I dont think a group hang is what the wife has in mind.
