    Polypropylene Shopping Bags Idea :-)

    G'day Folks,

This idea popped into my mind when I was looking for tree huggers for my supersexy DIY hammock :0) Just thought I should share with you this wild idea.

Apparently those supposedly eco friendly green bags you can get from the shops are made from 100% polypropylene. In an emergency, maybe they could be used for tree huggers/rope (although the tensile strength is a mystery).

Just an idea, but what do you guys think?

    Cheers

Hmmm- The one's here in the US are made out of polyethylene which is a stretchy plastic and may not be that great for tree straps. One would likely have to weave a pile of them together to make them even marginally possible to use. Anyway, give it a go and post pics.

Ooo - Sorry- You were talking about the Eco-Friendly bags. Yeah, those are Polypropylene. The reason they are Eco-Friendly is because they degrade in sunlight. May not be a long term solution for straps. Maybe only for night use
