    Glad to join you all!

I am a long time outdoorsman but new to hammock camping. I work for an outdoor ministry in Central New York guiding college students on Rafting, canoeing, and camping trips. I love camping but have a hard time sleeping on the ground. I look forward to joining the hammock camping world!!

I just purchased a Hennessy Explorer Zip with the hex fly and Supershelter. I love the hammock but not sure about the super shelter with the zip hammock. I look forward to camping with it next week but hope I didn't make a mistake not going with the Clark NX200.

I love these forums and am excited about learning more from you all!!

Simps, Welcome to HF. Hammocks are kinda like shoes, there are many fine models but sometimes one model may fit you better than other models. I've no experience with the Clark, and only a little knowledge of the HH, my son is a Boy Scout and has one of the HH they used at last years National Jamboree. Anyway, just sayin keep an open mind about other models of hammock if the HH doesn't fit ya just right.

Gargoyle said it best.......all hammocks are good some just require more tweaking! No experience with the HH but I have the CJH NX-200 and can only say good things about it. You will more than likely end up with one in the future, Resistance Is Futile!!!!!!!

Welcome from your neighbor to the east!
Your HH will be a great hammock and is a good place to start! I currently use a HH and love it, but YMMV. Can't comment on the SS as I went with gear from vendors on this forum.
If you want to check out other setups without the expense of trial and error there is a New England hang in MA coming up soon which we would be happy to have you join! It'll be a good way to check out tons of different setups and see if you like any other options better than your current setup.
    Welcome to HF!
