No worries, I was in the back of the pack on the last trip and will most likely be there on this trip, I don't hike that fast and I'm not in a hurry. You'll be fine, there is no race, just good times.

My pace last trip was because I didn't know any better. Fully intend on slowing down and smelling the Palmetto and Gallberry blossoms this time. The plantar fascitis has been acting up so I'm looking for a little easier hike.

Getting some rain around here the last few days, Closing on 6" since the 28th. Believe Islander was going into Richloam this weekend. I've asked him for a condition report if he does make it.

It has poured down in here in Ocala for a few days now. We really needed it though.

I think you guys towards Central FL had it worse but we've had a good bit of rain the past few days up here as well. Gorgeous day today, though. Sure wish I wasn't stuck in my cube.

I'll be out there this evening through the weekend.
Actually looking forward to conditions a bit less dry then before. Weather report looking good!
Time to get out the Permethrin spray, coat the clothing real good...

I have a few plans for this weekend Islander, so I wont be able to make it out for the day like I planned. Have a safe weekend though.

I'm glad for you that the storm didn't wait to come through this weekend!
That would have been some extreme gear testing

Hopefully the mosquitos won't have time to germinate before this weekend, but I think they will rule the forest soon!

Thats a definite! Get into the Florida Woods soon, or else you'll be eaten alive. Weather is heating up fast and rain storms right along with it. The Richloam Forest soon to get swampy, i.e. Green Swamp
Was thinking of putting off spraying down the clothing with Permethrin until Next trip. RICHtorFLA convinced me otherwise.
    Better comfy than sorry.
