    Thanks for the quick responses.

Just to clear things up, I have a wbbb hammock which really isn't that long compared to some.

My issue is I was going to get a OES cat cut 11x10 and I know the ends of that would fold in like doors, to a degree anyway. The 10' width plays a good part in that role.

Biggest compromise with looking at cuben now is the cap on width @ 104'' due to the raw material width.

I just dont know if the sides staying the same 11' length as the ridgeline will allow it to close up.

Fyi: my tarp now is a OES Standard in spinn, if I go to a cuben tarp in a rectangular cut it will seem HUGE to me anyway. I think either way I'll have ample coverage, I'd just like it to be right as it's a decent investment on a tarp.....

Anyone with 8.5 - 9 foot wide tarp X 9, 10 or 11 foot long with feedback or pic's of it with doors folded in would be great.

MMM I've no idea why my same response I put up last night poped up again.....

I was asleep when it came up ???

    Thanks for the pictures.

Hey WV, what's the length between your two center tie out's ??
It looks like it closes up reasonably well.

AC, I've been looking at your tarp pictures "A LOT"..........

I've been in contact with Joe at Zpacks, Very quick to respond too which is great.

Also I have another option from the original vendor I was going to bu my 11x10 cat cut spinn tarp from

Difference is one uses 0.51oz/y cuben and the other is using 0.74oz/y cuben.

I'm swinging towards the heavier material for more durability. Not that I can see an issue with 0.51oz/y cuben. I jst think as I camp with tenters a lot and this will be my go to tarp, sometimes I will be up in exposed conditions and the extra material strength appeals to me more.

I just measured, and the 3 side sections are as follows: 43.5" / 41" / 43.5". But that adds up to 128" or 10' 8" long. I think I cut the material 11' long and used 1/2" folded over on each end, which means that those measurements may be slightly off. I measured the tarp spread out on a table, not hung under tension. I'd say you could space 4 tie-outs evenly along the side and get good results. The amount of end overlap will depend on how you pitch it anyway. A smaller ridge angle will give more overlap at the ends.

My tarp from Joe at ZPacks will be here today. It has a 11' ridgeline and 13' base. I leave Sunday for a 10 day walk about and I will post pictures and tell you what I think when I get back.

    Did you get yours LRR?

I know Warbonnetguy recommends a sil-nylon because it's stretchiness, so do the doors stay nice and tight or do they "flap" in the wind?
