Just got word from Adam that both my 3 seasons are on the way. Now if it would just quit snowing and start to melt what we have!!
I think that will do it for gear...for now.

To much time on your hands? Waste some time here
I'm looking for the opposite scottD. I ordered my winter phoenix last week but here in north TX its already gettin to the mid 80's looks like I may have to wait a while before I get to really test it out. Congrats on your new gear
Last year was such a crappy summer for us. Our hottest days of the year were in early May and then it just went downhill from there. We have so much snow here. Went hiking last weekend and the trails were packed, but you could see where the xcountry skiers had poled down about 3 feet on the trails. Off the trails it was about 4 feet. In our cul de sac, the city has piled snow so high that if it doesn't start to warm up soon, the piles will still be there in June!! Our summers are so short here that I really hate it when people start to complain about how hot it might get...bring it on, the hotter the better.
Sorry, about the whining about snow, I realize that much of the US has had a tough go of it this winter as well so us Canadians don't have exclusivity on it all.
Hot weather spells the end of my fun. Ice going off the lake means no more fishing or sailing. Just gotta look forward to camping season to take the edge off.
My sisters in Calgary,,,heard they got a foot and a half a couple of days ago,,but then Calgary has ever crazier weather than you. Here in the west kootenays we are definitely in spring break up which means the lower trails aren't fully open yet and everywhere else where there is snow its 1-2' deep with no consistency to it so its very difficult even with snowshoes. Its like walking in a tub of slushy. Its going fast tho so hopefully things will open up more in a few weeks.
