    tarp question

I am going to make a catenary cut hex tarp. My question is is the cut allong the seam/ridgeline straight, or slightly curved to get the hang taught?
It's better to be lucky, than good!

I happen to prefer a straight RL on my tarps. The reason I prefer that is that I feel like the cat cut RL's crowd me, like I'm loosing valuable real estate to the RL. YMMV.
    Good luck,

I have had no problem using a straight ridgeline. Tarp is very taught still.

Second the straight rigdeline... I've made several tarps now and all of them had striaght cut ridge. Set up with a very tight ridgeline and you get a curved ridge... Note I do not run a continuous ridgeline...
