In my opinion it is worth the money. I am using No Sniveler which is the same without the slit down to 20 degees as a top quilt. If it were me though, I would buy the Speer Snugfit and cut my own slit in it for your HH. It would not be hard and they are on sale for 288 right now. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

Yes! I adore my JRB quilt but I use it as a top quilt. Were you planning to use pads or the supershelter in lieu of an underquilt? If so, the quilts are sooooooo much more comfortable IMO and well worth the investment.

Don't get too hung up on the entry slit. From what I understand most HH users end up just pushing the Nest to the side to enter/exit the hammock anyway. The Snugfit is totally on my 'after the hike' list, but a little on the heavy side for an AT hike.
    Trust nobody!

Moozie, just buy the Nest man, you won't regret it. I wouldn't take anything for mine. I'm good down to about 25F with a Nest and a Rock Wren bag with no extra clothes. Add an Oware pad and clothing and who knows?

Yeah, I agree. I wouldn't cut a slit in any underquilt.

You can EASILY just slide the quilt to one side for entry/exit of a bottom loader and it will pop back in place by itself if you're suspension is rigged well.

If quality, effectiveness, and versatility are important to you, the JRB products are hard to beat. I opted for the 'Sniveller' (Long) since it can be used as an underquilt, an overquilt, a garment, or in the house. I've since bought a Katahdin for myself and another for my son. Lotta bucks, but bucks well spent. There are probably other products out there that will do the job for you, but I doubt you'll ever develop a case of quilt-envy if you own a JRB!!! Just my not-so humble opinion!!!

I started with just a NS for my ULB. It slides to one side to get in and pops back in place pretty easily. I have a Nest too now- and am I ever glad !
    Love em both!
