    ZPacks Tarp

I just got my tarp in the mail. It weighs 7oz. with stuff sack before sealing the seams and adding guylines. This thing is huge! 11' ridgeline and 13' base.

He sent a tube of sil net with it. However, I haven't ever seam sealed anything made of Cuben Fiber or this large. Does anyone have any suggestions or top secret techniques that might help or should I just follow the instructions on the packaging? Any help will be much appreciated.

I'd use a small brush to apply the seal. That's what I've done with my other tarps. I'm still waiting on my cuben tarp from Joe.

When did you order yours? Anticipation is killing me!

I ordered it 6 weeks ago Friday. I asked him if he could rush it a bit because I'm leaving Sunday on a 10 day trip. I can't get over how light this thing is for being so big. It weighs the same as my OES Micro. Crazy!

I've got it stretched out on my hammock stand right now. The packaging says the sealer needs to cure for about 6 hours and I don't want to leave it outside that long. I doubt anyone would take it, but I'm not gonna chance it. I'm not sure whether to seal the top side or bottom. I think the bottom, but I have sent an email to Joe for assistance.

I'm with you, KK. I'm a little nervous about messing up.

I just got it. I still have to rig the guylines and everything. Quick as I can I will post some pictures. I want to see it too! It looks gigantic on my hammock stand. I just have the ridgeline attached to seal the seam though.

BIG TIP - when the seam seal is dried sprinkle some baby powder on it to stop the silicone from sticking to itself.
