30 degrees with a sleeping bag

My son and his friend did a hang in the backyard last night.

    Hennessy Exp UL
    Shorts and T-shirt, no hat
    0 degree bag

40's most of the night. Low hit 29

A little too warm most of the night. No problem at 29.

I can see that if they are young and using the bag as a bag. I've come close to those temps with just a sleeping bag. I tend to be a very warm sleeper, but a zero degree bag is going to give some insulation even when compressed. JMO.
