Whatever it will be when I'll be 67 -- I hope I will be courageous enough to give it a try!
hf at HF -- Have fun at Hammockforums!
Welcome, and thank you for your service. Two weeks ago I hiked & hung/ hanged? on my first outing with 2 gentlemen, both amazing in their own rights, the 1st 8 years old and hiked 13+ miles barefoot the 2nd 70 years old and on his way to his next leg of the AT. Two months ago I had no idea what hammocking entailed, now I can't get enough.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
Semper Fi Mac!
You'll find that hammock camping is much more comfortable than most of the time in the field back in the Corps. (Unless you were an Air Winger!)
I converted over to hammocks last year after a couple of years of tent camping with my son's Scout troop. Older bones feel a lot better in the morning after a night in the hammock.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.
A big ol welcome
