Hey Thorwren, glad you got him up the hill in the fog, and glad you got out of those nasty winding one lane forest service roads in the waning fog-filled light and made it home.
His base was actually around 8.5, can't remember the exact number. His total pack is under 15 with food and water. I was at 13.79 starting base, but I didn't have his super secret double probation items in my pack, and I am not as crazy as he is - I like my comfort.I can't wait to see what SC has in his 11# base weight! I used helium to fuel the van home. I sounded funny the whole way.
8.5 for this part of the year is tough... i can get down to 10, but geez. i'd have to leave my down jacket at home or go cookless...

I'm guessing with a helium fill Cuben UQ there's no real need for the suspension. Gotta be a few ounces saved there. . . although don't go moving around too much
