    Complete Neophyte

    Howdy all!

Been lurking on and off for awhile now and with spring on the way and a few references to this site on Wintertrekking.com and bushcraftusa.com I thought I'd wander over and introduce myself, now is good a time as any.

I am totally new to this hammock camping thing and look forward to learning a bunch of useful stuff and maybe just maybe, eventually I'll have something to share.

I can see I have lots of work to get up to speed on the lingo and equipment aspect of this hammock thing. I have been taking in some videos from Shug and the Professor, very informative and entertaining. Thanks to both of you!!

I don't even know really where to start so I better quit this and get back to "learning"

    Thanks,
    CC

    Welcome!

You start buy getting a hammock, setting it up, laying in it, then repeat! It's all good from there! Don't forget to take pictures!

Seriously, welcome to HF. Glad to have ya!

When will we learn to say lying in a hammock! The other is good, too, though strenuous. Repeat is okay, but forget the pictures.

Sorry, Deucalion - it's not fair that you should be singled out like this. I promise this is my last grammar/usage rant.

And I add my welcome to canoecountry. We are glad you've joined us and will not criticize your choice of words when you post.

Welcome to HF from a fellow Minnesota. You should try and make it to the Northern Hang. You'll learn so much stuff there first hand and meet fellow hangers in the area.
