After what seemed like a long winter, I needed to get out of town and hang a bit. I got a group of guys from church together and we headed out to Lake Jocassee's boat-in only campsite. We went up Friday afternoon and then spent all day Saturday exploring the lake and trying to find some waterfalls and trying to catch some fish for dinner. We managed to find the waterfalls, but the fish were more elusive. We had to cut our exploring short though because a big thunderstorm rolled in. We made for camp and just hung out there the rest of the evening. We stayed over Saturday night and came back on Sunday morning. Out of 8 guys we had 4 in hammocks, and I'm pretty sure that at least 2 of the other guys will eventually switch to hammocks if they keep camping. It was a fun trip and most of all, relaxing. It was the perfect break from "city life" that we all needed.

I feed my sleeping bag around my hammock to keep the insulation on the underside. My suspension slipped during the night; so i woke up with my bag dragging the ground. It was still warm and toasty inside though.
