    Checking in from sePA

New hanger checking in. New to the hammock but not to camping.

Looking forward to warmer weather, got some good spots already picked out(I think), and a brand new jungle hammock waiting for me to play with.

Reading the info threads fast as I can...

My noob question would be this...

How do y'all clean your pots/pans/cookware when camping away from water, or even nearby water (regarding leave no trace proto)?

    Welcome to HF!

I look forward to reading about your adventures. If it helps, I like to first clean my pans and cookware with my tounge. Then I will usually rinse off what is left with a little water and dry it with a towel.

    Welcome!

Yup, I give mine the tongue and finger wipe down. Toss a little water in, swirl that around, drink it, and then wipe it dry with my bandanna.

Welcome from across the river in NJ. I'll let you decide if that means I'm from North or South Jersey. I'm with the others on cleaning: spork as much as you can then use fingers to get the rest, swirl with water and then enjoy the juice. Air dry.

I always bring some bread that helps with the cleaning of the pot and for the outside it's good to have a pot cozy to avoid Pot Smut. Welcome to HF!
