I think that I would be up for this trip. I could probably make it out there Thursday night and head for home on Monday. I might just take the bike. It's about a 4 and a half hour ride from central MN. Not sure how much extra space I will have for Potluck food :P (I am sure I can figure something out)
What is the water situation like in this area? Will there be an opportunity to filter at least once a day?
