    Sounds awesome!
So, Backpacking zombie and I are going to meet you on Saturday night at near campground 3. I looked it up and I think I found it. Can someone please confirm that the coordinates I have are correct? Latitude: 46.317987 Longitude: -90.856787

    Thanks a lot.

Ok, so I had mentioned that I was checking on trail conditions. Here is what i received in reply.

We have had a late spring with snow on some sections of the NCT after
April 30th. As a result there are a number of wet sections so the
group will need good hiking shoes (waterproof!). We also had a lot of
rain last Sunday so I am sure that it will not be much dryer. A number
of the forest roads are also not in the best shape. As of last
Saturday (May 21st) Kornstead Road was still closed. Some of the
shoulders on the sides of the forest roads are still very soft and can
quickly become a quakmire for vehicles.

The Black flies where out in full force last weekend and I am sure
that the mosquitoes will not be very far behind. Wood ticks are out
but not in the same numbers that they usually are in the spring (to
wet?). We have been busy removing trees but still have not finished a
few of the sections yet (just way to many wind events late last fall,
this winter and now again this spring). Do you need any maps? I can
send you the easy to follow Chequamegon National Forest NCT Map in PDF
format. I am including our section by section trail description -
Chequamegon Chapter NCT WIKI with this email in case you don't have
it. I can also send a PDF file of our new Chapter Brochure that
includes a new map that has both Forest Road Numbers and the road
    names (new to the Chapter).

Hope you enjoy your hike and thanks for hiking part of our sections of
NCT! Please let me know if you find a major problem that needs our
attention. I hope you have great weather and a safe journey.

If any one wants to read the information on the different trail sections send me a pm with your email. Its 9 pages long, don't want to post it here. Otherwise I'll print it out and bring it with me.

Sorry NUT! I can't do it this time. Thinking about maybe heading up that way in mid-June.
