Was bored tonight and wanted to sew something, so I decided to make a pillow with some of the left over ripstop from the last hammock. Its Black 1.9oz. Ripstop, And I started with a piece about 1' long, cut from a 60"wide piece. I sewed the 2 sides together to leave the top open, and I triple stitched the 2 seams for strength. After that I turned it inside out, so to hide the seams, and began to fill with the polyester filling. Every so often, I would stop, hold the top closed, and roll the pillow like I was going to put it into a stuff sack. Then I would put it against my head. I kept adding filling until I felt a good amount of loft from the pillow, and it still rolled up small. Then I turned down the top and triple stitched it as well. Then I made a small stuff sack for the pillow, and I triple stitched all the seams of it as well, then added a cinch cord and cord lock. I will weigh it tomorrow and post the weight.
Enjoy the pictures,
