Hello from Nevada!

Hi, everyone. I'm Steve from Central Nevada. I am an avid camper and motorcycle rider. I'm also getting old so pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground doesn't hold the charm for me that it did 30 years ago. I was reading on another forum about Hammocks and "BINGO" the light went off.

Carrying a comparitively small hammock on a motorcycle coupled with the ability to sleep off the ground in comfort really appeals to me, so after a great deal of research, I ordered a Warbonnet Blackbird double 1.7. (I'm a big guy and this is the best match-up for me.)

I'm looking forward to devouring all the info here that I can in order to make the most of my new camping adventures on 2 wheels.

About me: I'm a retired Postmaster, a former Law Enforcement Officer, former College Instructor, former Gold Mine Security Manager, a Veteran of the US Coast Guard where among other things, I taught Aircrew Survival classes and a husband for the past 34 years.
