Maryland Hang

I might be doing a overnight possibly around April 15th-17th (maybe two days) for gear testing??? If I do go it will be most likely be Gathland St.PK! Need to look at schedule though!! Anyone is welcome to join!!

Hey I am a newbie in Maryland trying to figure out which hammock to buy before a trip down to Costa Rica at the end of the month.. someone suggested going to a 'hang' to check out people's gear.. so maybe you all could get together sooner rather than later? :^)

Unfortunately there is a big difference between us MD'ers trying to get together, and a "Hang Event"! With us trying to get together the might be 5 or so of us and "might" is the key word! At a hang event like "MAHHA" there can be 30-40 of hangers there, which for someone in the market would most likely get to see everything that is in production, and most likely a whole lot that isn't (ex- DIY gear/some speer products, and more)!

How is your schedule looking?

Right now things are looking good for the 16th and 17th, not too sure on the 15th???? Unfortunately I won't know the finer details till that day, it's a long story, just shortly put, "Family"!

I am not 100% certain if I will make these dates, but, if you all get together at Gathland, there is a mighty good chance I will make it! Sorry to be so vague but this is out of my hands now!

I'm off that weekend (for now) and have in mind to make it up to Gathland on Sat afternoon for an overnight.

I'll keep an eye here (and post) as to how the weekend is shaping up.

For those interested in an "informal" hang ( as in bring all your own food/beverages, no raffle or scheduled activities other than "hanging out" and shared adult beverages around a shared campfire), I am currently scheduled to be up at Gathland State Park in the usual MAHHA site this coming Saturday afternoon and night.

Cranky, hope your schedule works out so you can make it as well.

Weather forecast is currently for thunderstorms, which is not delighful but that's what extra tarps are for!

Forecast is for rain all day Saturday through Saturday night. Thunderstorms at times. I have been at Gathland in weather like that and it was dramatic, to say the least. It rains so hard there the air is filled with vapor.

I think I'm going to pass on this weekend and hold out for slightly better conditions given that its an elective outing.
