    newbie needs help

I have a ENO prohammck with the bug net and i am up grading to lighter slap straps with whoopie slings so the question is my whoopie slings are 10 feet so would a 12 foot slap strap be to long. the secound question is UQ. down or climasheild 3/4 or full ( have a 20 degree western mountaineering bag). the last question is tarps I am thinking of a 4 season made by outdoor equipment or will a macCat work just as well. thanks carl

Ok strap depends on how far will tree be apart in area you hand can they be big thick oaks where diameter maybe an issue , IMPO longer is better. UQ is what you can afford sown is lighter so if you backpack the miles down is the weigh to go 3/4 or full preference I use both 3/4 for spring summer and fall and full for winter. tarp how big is the macCat sping summer fall any tarp will do winter nice to have doors to close to help with wind. No expert just from what I have learned so far. hope this helps

Depends on what size trees are available to you and how close they are together. All of my straps and whoopies are in the 4' to 6' range and I have never had a hard time finding a place to hang. I imagine you would have to get those straps really high in a situation where you actually need 12' of strap and 10' slings
