HH, WB bugnet question

what keeps mosquitos from biting through the hammock on HH and WB hammocks?

i know it's a stuipid question but as i look at them i can't help but think that your backside would get chewed on all night if summer camping with no underquilt.

I was thinking that leaving just the undercover part of the HHSS on without pad or space blanket would probably work for most of the time.

Anything wrong with that reasoning?

I emailed Brandon (Warbonnet Outdoors) sometime back on this very same question. I would think this would also apply to the HH as well.

Here was Brandon's response:

" The dl 1.0 and dl1.1 will be more mosquito resistant on the bottom than the 1.7 single (the dl1.1 would be the most resistant due to having the highest threadcount), however they will both be less breathable/more wind resistant as well. also, if you have anything under you at all, the sl1.7 will then be bite-proof on the bottom-side as well (underquilt, thin pad, sleeping bag bottom) and you will need something below you other than t-shirt and hammock fabric in temps below 70, that includes most summer nights".

Simmilar idea to what Owl posted.
