    Pillows and Return policy/contacting KAQ?

    Hi all,

Hope this is a good place to post this, but I'm looking to get some more insulation for my warbonnet hammock from KAQ, but I also want to pick up one of the nifty pillows. Problem is I don't know what size will be right (the small or large). I was planning on buying two and returning one, but I haven't yet had a response from KAQ. Just wondering if anyone knows anything.

    Thanks

    Anthony

If you've already emailed him with no response then you could try PMing him here. His name is pgibson here. He normally returns emails very quickly so he might be out campin or something.

He got my order for two tarps 3/28 and they arrived 4/2 so he is busy getting stuff out for sure (tarp sale ending). I also sent a PM and got no answer...yet. Really hope he is away in the piney woods with his clan...our gear is better when made by those who still get outside with their own.

Sorry for the delay getting back, we have been out playing this week, got to go do a bit of fishing while the kiddo was out on spring break. PM's on the way.

Paul makes a great pillow, I have the bigger one and find it to be the perfect size.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

This may be a good place to post my question. I slept in my ENO DN using a normal pillow off my bed. In the morning my neck hurt. I believe I had a flat lay, except for the pillow. Since these are made for a hammock do they eliminate the push on my neck that a normal pillow causes?

Hard to say it ours will be totally better for you or not...least till you have given it a try. For me personally a full size pillow has always done the same, just to big and put to much bend in my neck. I came up with the small Cub size for my preference of needing some support under my neck but not much more than that in the hammock. We started offering the larger Bear pillow a few days later at the request of folks looking for a bit more support and something headed the direction of the home pillow but not the bulk. I am OK with the Bear for a nap but for overnight I really only need a bit to support my neck, the curve of the hammock holds the rest of my noggin.

I tried it again with the flatest pillow I had. It was better but I still had stress in my back under at about my shoulder blades. Took out a measuring tape an my ridgeline was only 90". So I let it out to about 98" and tossed the pillow. It was much better but I still wanted some support under my neck. Oh when oh when is payday?
