    I Want to believe

    Hellooooo Hammock Forums!

Thank you for all the information, especially Shug, and Babelfish5. I have been lurking here for a while now trying to adsorb what I can. I just started hiking again when I stumbled upon the idea of hammock camping.

Right now I have a Byers Moskito. It seemed to be a cheap way to try hammock camping. I love the idea! However, the Byers Moskito just isn't working for me. After a night's sleep I end up with lower back pain. I've tried every trick I can find with no luck, loose, tight, adding a ridge line, etc. etc... I think the Byers and I are just a bad fit. So I am giving up and ordering a WBBB. Now I just have to decide which one I want . I was also looking at a Hammock Bliss NoSeeEm and adding some tie outs. The WBBB won because of the shelf. I like to keep some gear near me when I sleep.

I'm 5'9" and 200lb' I think the dl1.0 or dl1.1 would be a good fit. I prefer the color on the 1.1. But, it is $45 more right now. So I think I go with the 1.0. Really, I just want a color that blends in to the environment. Not that I have to be 100% stealth. I just don't want to be THAT GUY who puts up a circus tent in the woods. I think the charcoal of the 1.0 would reasonably fade in to the background. I would rather a coyote brown but alas that's not a option <sigh>.

    Respectfully,

Welcome zugcat. Hope the hammock thing works out for you. For most it takes some getting used to but I know for me it really helped my back. Hope the Warbonnet does same for you.

You cannot go wrong with a WBBB. I am 210 or 215 and the 1.0 works well for me.
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

    welcome to the madness.

While I am a BB user for camping, I have a Grand Trunk and a ENO that I use for day hikes or hanging the back yard for a afternoon nap. Lots of good hammocks to choose from.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Hey, whats wrong with being THAT guy? Guess my Tie Die Tarp idea won't work for you.

Welcome to the forum. Remember, you can ALWAYS send the money to Paypal a little at a time. You won't believe how quickly that extra 45 dollars will be there. Then you can get the Hammock you really want. Both will be fine for you I bet.

Brandon doesn't offer one in Red or Yellow so I just took the standard one he does offer. Next one I'll make and it might just look like the hardwood forest in fall.

Nothing, until you get a forest full of it. :-P Then I feel like I am camping at the fair.

Tie Dye green and brown would work

Welcome to the forums. I hope you can find the hammock that will work best for you. I would suggest you don't compromise for $45 - go for the hammock you think will be most comfortable. After all, you will be spending many nights together!
