The andonized aluminum shepard's hook stakes you find at REI, here. I have the burnt orange ones, and they match the speer no tangle on my guyouts.

I was using the MSR ground hogs or the needle stakes that I picked up with my Hubba HP. I now use the Mountainfitter ti-eye stakes. light weight and with the eye centered they tend to hold the line well and not bend as easy.
In winter or for Really hard ground I use the Vargo ti nail stakes or homemade snow anchors.

+1 For Mountainfitters Ti-eye stakes. I have the 6" stakes and they have worked great! I spent the night in my backyard the other night and it was super windy, maybe 30mph with 45mp gusts. My system held very well I'm very proud.
I started using the Easton 9" stakes and love them. Very easy to put into the ground and super strong...and light

I've cut up alum arrows - plan to test soon.
edit to add: 8 of these weigh just under 2oz.

I just got my ti-eyes yesterday and set up my tarp with em last night.
Pros
Very lightweight
Small
Strong
The closed eye has a small gap which is the perfect size for 2mm dyneema so you can tie a loop in your cord and just fit it over.
Cons
You need to push it all the way into the ground because it's a little short, but, that also means it has an ideal level of failage (you'd rather your line pull out than your tarp rip).
