    About 9 or 10 yrs ago, I was out on a small pond fishing with my son. I got hung up in a stump that was in the water, had a bunch of stuff growing out the top. I was reaching for my bait, and my son says "Dad, look out, theres a snake". Sure enough, right there, about 8" from it, a copperhead. Could have turned ugly real quick!!

    When I went hiking in the Black Hills last year I was hoping to see a Prairie Rattlesnake but didn't come across any...except at Reptile Gardens.
