Just thought i would see how a 9x9 diamond tarp setup worked tonight.
Also trying the old ridgerest in the hammock.
Not too impressed with the comfort of the pad. But its warm.
39 and freezing rain here.
I have some tarp fabric coming next week and am trying to decide on a shape and size.
The weather has been so so. But not nasty enough for a real good test yet.
I have enough coming to do a full 12 x 10 but a little asym would be nice and light...

I guess i should add:
Im in a simple homemade gathered end woodland camo ripstop setup. (1.1 oz maybe)
Using some amsteel suspension with the simplified woopie sling type rig.
Tarp is just a tyvek piece cut to test this setup.
Warm and dry. :-)
