View? I'm usually trying to find an extremely sheltered place, which does not lead to good views.

The best "views" I've had were at one spot where a hawk watched me setting up from a nearby snag the first afternoon, and then the next morning the barn owl who had hunted overhead all night landed in the branch next to me just after I got out of the hammock at 4:30AM. (I got revenge on it with my headlamp - the year before that same dadgum barn owl had shrieked its head off from just above me as I was laying in the grass looking at the stars, and they scream like bloody murder!)
