    Thanks Pizza and Shane!

That is helpful... I do want the double bottom for both insulation (you can insert a pad in there like on the WBB right?) and for bugs as I will be in the jungle..

Pizza does the rigging prevent water from getting in? Also any recommendations on a good tarp. I am trying to consider the total cost since I will have to get a tarp and I suppose rigging for a tarp separately.

And if you don't mind telling me.. I have heard that the Claytor is the same design but heavier, is that true?

Thank you for your patience with a newbie!!

I never had an issue with rain running down the suspension to the hammock when I've used whoopies wrapped directly to the hammock though in a downpour it might be possible. What I do now typically is wrap an amsteel loop (actually AHE chainlink) at the gathered hammock end and connect a descender ring or dutch biner to the link on one side and to the actual whoopie sling on the other side of the ring. The ring or biner will act as a drip ring to divert water off the suspension before it can reach the hammock. An easier or lighter way to do this is just tie a drip string (shoe lace or piece of cord) to the whoopie sling suspension (make sure it's under the end of the tarp though and not outside in the rain) The string should dangle down towards the ground off of the suspension and will divert the water off the suspension before it gets to the hammock.

My only experience with tarps are the OES MacCat Deluxe and the Warbonnet Superfly. Both are extremely nice tarps but they are a bit pricey.

Unfortunately I have no experience with a Claytor but they do look similar to the Switchback hammocks.
