I went on a little pre-birthday buying spree today. The REI online outlet had a lafuma synthetic 40 degree bag as the deal of the day for $40 that only weighs 1lb. 6oz. and stuffs into a 10x5 stuff sack. Anybody else get in on that deal? I also picked up a black wilderness logics big daddy tarp and 60ft. of 7/64 amsteel. I hope at least one of the orders shows up for my birthday Friday! I can't wait to try this new stuff out since my pack weight will now be several pounds lighter!

Works great as a summer TQ. Temp rating is not accurate IMHO. I've had it down to 50 and didn't sleep that night. Shiivvvveerrrr buuuurrrrrr.
Great bag for summer, but wouldn't take it out again in temps expected to dip below 60. YMMV.
Thanks Tendertoe! Glad to hear somebody else has it. The temp rating accuracy was the only thing that made me question the purchase, but I figured at the weight, even as a 55 or 60 degree bag, 40 bucks was great. It's good to hear that it's a good summer top quilt. That's my plan for it.
