The home depot stuff is treated with acq...

The green deck srews we have are compatible with acq...

My eye bolts are zinc coated and my bolts are too as I recycled some bolts from an old deck as they are still almost mint... but I will eventually change them out to galvanized...

As far as the pressure treated wood from home depot goes its never treated enough to actually penetrate the middle of the wood... I hate home depot

what is the spread on that? It doesn't look that far apart seems to banana like.

So I ready threw the whole post and there are some many tweaks and changes someone should add them to the pdf I printed out.

IF I got it right :
2x6x8 on the bottom is more stable
    Use green screws last longer
use galvanized lag screws for the bottom.
3rd leg on the bottom is more stable
WBBB guys reduce height by 18inches

Is the 158 far enough apart? Its seems so close together in the pics.

    New PDF

Hope to see the pics soon Tritan, let us know how the double hang goes! I updated the PDF to show some of the refinements I've made and added a few more measurements.

working on a video of my stand setup I will include a picture of this setup. I think you should add 1/2 x 5 inch bolts for the side and top.1/2 x 8 inchers for the bottom to the parts list the more details the less guessing for the wood challenged like me.

Wow! That's a great video! Nice idea about hanging two from the stand. I'll have to add the bolt measurements to the PDF when I get a chance. One more thing I noticed about putting the riser blocks on the feet, it helps with uneven terrain. It gives a little room for roots and such to go under the feet.

Here is my version! First photo, more to follow!

    And my new whoopies!

I used 2x6 base and three legs with raised feet on sides and middle ... the span is 16 3/4' with 8ft uprights and 6ft supports... I used 2 bolts on each upper so the eyebolt is sandwiched between...

I haven't slept on it yet but I have relaxed for a couple hours here and there... I am still needing to get wheels and lag bolts for the legs...

    Thanks again for the design!
