    Greetings from a mile high!

Aloha hangers! My name is Kelly (but Tex is fine around here) and I am a recent convert to the ways of the hammock. I moved to the mile high city a few months ago from the island of Oahu. (Im originally from Columbus, OH. I like to travel a bit incase you couldnt tell )

Ive always loved hanging in a hammock and it was only recently that I discovered I could camp this way. I hung a hammock up on my lanai off my dorm room and would frequent it almost daily. It probably helped I was a block from the beach but Im going to say it was because hammocks are just that awesome. Every once in awhile though, Id take my sleeping bag out and take naps or just sleep out there for the night (when I didnt have to get up early for class or work). So when I was wondering what kind of things I could do to make it a full time camping thing I stumbled across this website and I have no intentions of ever going back to my tent. Im getting weird looks and a few comments from my boyfriend about my choice but we will see who gets the last laugh after our first outing

So expect to see me 'hanging around'. I had a ton of questions at first but after some reading around here Im down to a couple. Thanks to REI's 20% member discount I just bought an ENO Single Nest and Im just waiting for the weather to come to an agreement to test it out. Apartment living is not as hammock friendly as I would like so the questions will begin once I get to test things out!

Welcome to another Denver hanger! I'm on state #7 and city #12, so I can relate with the 'happy feet' bit.
Cannibal's testing facilities are open year-round if you want to come over. I can even show you one, maybe twelve, other hammocks.
    Trust nobody!

whats funny is he likes lounging in hammocks but doesnt see it as a good camping vector. but i do have that feeling that he will want to try out mine and then ill never see it again until he gets his own.

cannibal, i might have to come test hang but if i get anymore hammocks at the moment my bank account might kill me
Tucker: So I suppose if you are helping us you arent as mean as I thought...
Tex: I wouldnt say Im mean, I just get hired to do mean things.
    Tucker: But you like it.
Tex: Well I think its important to enjoy what you do.

Bring your boyfriend and I can almost guarantee he will change his mind about using them for camping. I don't sell hammocks, I just help create the demand.

Somebody likes RedvsBlue (other than me)

    Welcome Tex!
This is a great place to ask anything. I check this site every day and always seem to learn something new ...or find something new that I want to buy (be careful!).
    Enjoy!
