BSA Troop 175 in Eugene, Oregon. We have two Scouts that hang and I've just ordered my ENO. We camp once a month throughout Oregon. I just returned from a week at BSA Camp Baldwin; spent one night hanging and wish I'd done it every night.

I am an ASM from Fairfax, Virginia. Currently we have three active hangers and several who are toying with it. They have seen how nice it is to be off the ground and like the ease of setup They have brought hammocks on trips but just have not done more than setup and they have no tarps etc to do with them.
I got the hammock camping merit badge patches to help foster some hammock camping in our troop.
Former SM of Troop 1570 in Herndon, we had about 6-10 casual hangers at any time. Mostly at summer camp. No one liked the cots. Best story at on campout the boys set up one tarp with two hammocks underneath Bunk bed style while three more lay on the ground perpendicular to stay dry. Too bad the photo didn't come out.
Current Web leader Pack 1577. At camp my wife said don't take the hammock, you'll be the only one and stand out. Well, there were 5 in our site alone and spotted many throughout Camp PMI, Goshen, VA. In March I start the BSA thing again with my youngest This time I will be hanging the whole time. It's just getting harder and harder to get up off the ground. Planning on working with one of the other leaders to truly educate the scouts on the advantages of hammocks.
