    Which tarp to pack....

    For backpacking in New England this time of year, would you pack your MacCat Deluxe or the Superfly (with doors)?

    Decisions Decisions....

    And yes... Rain is predicted.

    Sorry for the duplicate post. I figured that this might be the better spot to get the info I need.

    If you're living in FL & going up to New england to camp soon

    I'd go with the superfly with doors

    Heck! I lived in Boston area for 10 yrs - now that I've been in GA for 5.5 If I went back up north this time of yr to camp - I'm bring my heavier insulation

    have fun!

    bring a big tarp and your winter UQ .... it can still get really cold at night this time of year up this way.... and you don't want to find out the hard way
    It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

    Yeah,temps here are still dropping into the 20s overnight. Not so concerned about a completely sealed tarp-you will want ventilation. But, plan for 20* weather, for sure. We had frost this morning.
