Where to get down?

Where can one buy 800 fill down? I did a search on the net and found a few places but they want like 200 bux for a lb ! sorry if this has been coverd I searched and found nothing.

You can get it here and from Hammockgear.com However, HG is all out right now. Also, Wilderness logics says it is from canada but it comes from North carolina. So, you don't have to worry about it going through customs. I've heard of people getting their down in 3 days.

There is a place that I found, that's in OH, called Downlite (shopdownlite.com) do a search for bulk down.
Last I checked 800 fill was $100 for a pound. They sell it in 1lb increments. They also have 600 and 700 fill. They have free shipping for order over $150.
WildernessLogics 800+ fill is $104/ lb ($6.50/ oz) and free shipping for orders over $75.
I personal havn't purchased any form either places but will be soon. I just havn't determined which place yet.
I need a minimum of 1 lb for my current project and if all goes well, I will need an additional pound.

Check out TTTG. They have 900 FP down in 3oz bags for $30.00 currently in stock.

How much are down are you looking for? I've heard of people reusing down from pillows they bought cheaply online.

cheap down pillows are not a good idea most of the time they have more feathers then down in them and quilts made out of pillow down tend to be on the heavy side....
it's best to pay the extra few bucks and get good quality down
