30-40ft should be fine.

depends ..... everyone is different..i only had a 18foot CRL when i used CRL's
some ppl have 25 feet....some have 30feet everyone is different
all depends on the area your hiking in and what the trees are like and how far away from each other are they ....
if your using something like speer line or something very UL carry more then you think you need...

30 ft is what I got from Whoopieslings.com. I dont think length has ever been an issue. I made mine 35, because it was close once... lol.

I'm using 30' 2mm line. Just ordered some dynaglide so ill make another 30' and probably a 20' to use when I know what trees are like where I'm hanging.
I also use 30 feet for my RL as well (although lately I have been experimenting with just trying the tarp loops to the trees and forgoing the continuous ridgeline).
Ideally you'd probably not want more than 18 to 20 feet between trees to acheive a good suspension angle so that would leave you with 10 feet for large diametre trees. I do have a couple of 10 feet lengths with me in case I have to extend or the trees are really big. Of course its always handy to have extra cordage with you anyways.

I've got soft shackle prussiks on mine. If your using 2.2 mm Lash-it for the main line, 1.75 mm for the prussiks is perfect. However, you can make them out of the same material. I have a dynaglide continuous line (overkill I know), and I have dynaglide pussiks on it, 4-5 turns and they hold quite tight.
my crl is 30' of 1.75 zing-it with locked brummel loops on each end, and soft shackle prusik tarp attachments with figure 9's to tension the line.
all of which remains attached and packed with the tarp in a pair of no-see-um skins.
