    Hello Hammock Forum Hangers,

It’s Bruciehi5 here, your brand new Hammock Forum member!

First, thank you to the people who run this website! Thanks to this site’s content,
I have been able to find some pretty good hiking gear on the Net.

Second, I am equally thankful to the people who type, or make video, product
reviews and post them here on Hammock Forums.

My very most top favorite thing about this site is the Trail Reports! The terrain,
the camp sites, and of course, the tarp to under pad/quilt run down of hammock
    set ups.

A special thanks to the one, the only, the nuttiest of nuts, the grand daddy of
silliness... The Shugemery! His contribution to the wonderful world of hanging
out in the woods is second to none!

My two favorite hiking places are Mount Barney NP for its hills and creeks and
Lamington NP for its rainforest and views. Both are about an hour and a half
easy drive. Favorite kayaking place is The Upper Noosa River, just over two
hours drive. Hammock camping and kayaking are a good mix. If you’re
interested, I wrote a review on my kayak. You can find it by doing a search
for: Greg’s AirFusion Kayak Maiden Voyage

I’ve been doing some buying and have made a little list of the things I have bought
that I consider to be of at least good quality. I have bought a few, not listed, duds,
but far fewer than would have been the case if it wasn’t for this website.

Anyway, thanks again and I look forward to the next video review and or trail report!

    Happy hanging!

    Bruciehi5

P.S. I’ve uploaded a slideshow that shows some of the hangs I’ve done with my
HH and my newish BMBH. It’s in the Trip Report section and it’s called,
    Hammock Slideshow. Dur: 2:51sec.

    Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

    Bradley,
Quote...The Transition from Ground Sleeping to Hammocks is the Conversion from
    Agony To Ecstasy,

I think I’ve gone and got myself addicted to the ecstasy part of the above quote (beats the agony
part any day). I remember my first Hennessey get-in, I climbed in, shifted around a bit and then
just stopped for what must have been 10 or 15 minutes. I went into some kind of daze! When I
snapped out of it, be it ever so slightly, I didn’t want to move, let alone get out. It was right about
then that I had a revelation... I can be comfortable, no more than comfortable, I can camp in a
comfortable state of ecstasy! Well, I was just thinking comfortable, but ecstasy is a good way
    to describe it.

Dutch, it is about time I made an appearance here at Hammock Forums! I’ve been in stealth
mode for quite a while. I don’t think I have ever registered as a forum member before. I have here
because I have gotten so much from the people here, I’d now like to somehow give a bit back.

Shug, thanks for all your how-to for noobs videos! There’s a fair bit to learn about hammocking
and your videos allow noobs to cover a lot of learning ground the quick and easy way.
