    Sweden Sounds Great

***I love this country! Feel free to visit!

A visit sounds ok, but can I come and live there?

We here in AU have close to no rights. It’s the world’s biggest jail. I’d like to
leave, buy myself an island somewhere that’s big enough for two trees and a
hammock, and never go back. In fact, by typing this post, I have probably
    broken an AU law.

It’s surprisingly hard to convince camping minded people that hammock
camping is better. Their loss I suppose. It’s nice to know that you are
getting a better nights sleep than any tent camper.

I hope you have a great time building your own stuff! Lots of how-to info here.

    You´re most welcome!
In the north, we´re I live, there is plenty of space for newcomers.
There is also jobs available, the mining corporations are expanding much and they need people who are willing to work.

I totally agree with Bieggolmai. You are all most welcome to visit or move here.
Come on over and we'll show you around. And if you don't want to be in the northern, more mountainous parts of Sweden then come over to the southern parts. I live just north of Sweden's biggest lake (and the third in Europe) Vänern, where there are Big forests to explore (they practically reach up to where Bieggolmai lives (1000 km north)

    Welcome from the USA

    PlaZma,

Welcome, Saw this - Ray Mears in video Sweden part 1/7 a while back: (Actually watched all 7 of them)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhr0n...eature=related

IMO worth the watch. In the Video Ray picks lingonberries and briefly talks about the different usages of them. His Swedish friend shows up by canoe explains about "Every Man's Right" to freely use the land. Plus you will see a cool way of deboning a fish using just your fingers.

Sweden looks to be a beautiful country and I would love to visit it sometime.

The only thing Ray Mears was missing out on. Was that he was using a tent and not a hammock!

PlaZma, hope you get out soon to enjoy your new DYI hammock gear!
