I saw this while at lowes or home depot recently and I was wondering if anyone had previously used this for insulation, vapor barrier, etc. If so, how was it used and what were the results, as if I had to ask.

that is good stuff in a double layer hammock...VBL and heat reflection in one.
I've used it. Worked well into the low 40's for me. My bro-in-law, however, was very bothered by the vapor barrier. He sweat too much.

I made Reflectix panels to fit the pockets of my CJH NX-250 to extend the range of a 3-season UQ. As my WB Superfly shipped Monday (woo-hoo!), I am hoping for a reason to have a test this weekend.

I use the relector pad that came with my HHDj, which is the same as reflectix, and have some friends who use the reflectix from Lowes. It works very well. I've been comfortable at 15 degrees with just the reflectix and a zero degree sleeping bag.
It is a vapor barrier, so I do experience some condensation, but it has never been enough to get my sleeping bag wet (it stays between the bottom layers of my DJ).
Do you think the bubble wrap provides any additional warmth or is it just the mylar looking space blanket like material that is doing the job?
The question is how much. Any material (insulation) that prevents air from circulating due to convection would add value. Somewhere there is an expert in thermodynamics who can elaborate.

reflectix does insulate better than say a space blanket. the bubble wrap aspect of it does add substantially to it's insulative properties/ r value.
I took a look at their website. with no dead air space reflectix has an value of 1.1. with a dead air space below the reflective material it is stAted to be 4+ r value. so depending on how your using it you can get anywhere in that range. I imagine using in combo with an UQ you would get the most benefit.
