    New Traveler 1.1 DL

Got my Traveler today. Put whoopie slings on it and set it up in the yard. Almost fell asleep in the few minutes I lay there. Absolutely love it!

Only slightly heavier than my GT Ultralight, but with the ability to put the pad in the middle instead of trying to sleep on top of it. Really like this, and think this will be my new "go to" hammock for backpacking. The pad is a must as it serves as the frame for my pack. Had to find a way to best employ it, and the Traveler DL fits the bill!

Thanks Warbonnetguy! This is exactly what I was looking for.

If you want pics, go to warbonnet's web site or wait until next week. I'm taking it out next Thursday night for a short one night trip and will post pics then.

Congrats on the new traveler. Ill be bringing my single layer 1.1 to mahha. A little nervous about bugs though, what do you guys think?

Last night I made a set of dynaglide whoopie and a adjustable ridge line so tonight I will put them on and play it. Hopefuly it brings me to around 10oz.

I'll be using the Traveler at the MAHHA, but will also have my GT Ultralight, and the HH that I'm giving away.

As for bugs, a little permethrin treatment and some mosquito coils w/the bug net and no worries! Besides, bugs gotta eat too!

But a bugnet weighs 6.5oz! I'll leave that one out. Haha, I'll have my blackbird too so I only have one night of suffereing if the bugs are out during the pre hike.
